Join us for the ultimate Ski Trip - January 6th to 11th 2024
Hakuba - the Powder Capital of the world. With 11 separate Ski Resorts including the fantastic Hakuba 47, Goryu, Cortina, Iwataki and Tsugaike Kogan as well as Happo One, Hakuba has some of the best Skiing and Snow-boarding Japan has to offer. It's also convenient with trains direct from the main airports and major train stations in Tokyo including the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) and direct express services. Stay in one of the coolest lodges in Hakuba right in the middle of the season. Enjoy the freedom of skiing any resort in the area with access to 4 cars, ski hire to the door, a hand picked group of people and the flexibility to just lounge around or hit the hot spots including Echoland and the Snow Monkeys. With daily yoga in-house you'll be able to optimise your time on the slopes.
The Phat House
Located at the base of Iwatake Resort, The Phat House is a fully equipped lodge with so much space you might not even meet everyone who's staying there. We've secured the whole house so the guest list is limited. All rooms include ensuites and are flexible from King to bunks. Facilities include an outdoor hot tub, games room, cinema room, yoga room, commercial kitchen and bar and access to 4 cars (International Driver's License required)
The Schedule
- Arrive in Hakuba on Saturday January 6th 2024 and get settled into the Phat House. Rooms will be allocated upon booking. The lodge is big and can accommodate a mix of families, couples and singles.
- We will arrange a big cook-up on the first night and plan the week's dining from there. There are plenty of restaurants in the valley but you have to book ahead. There are supermarkets and 7/11 close by so there is lots of flexibility.
- Ski hire can be arranged and Rhythm Japan will collect guests and take us to be fitted. Equipment can be left at the house for collection at the end of the stay.
- We can share daily drop-offs to the various resorts or you can just ski Iwataki which is a short walk.
- Daily yoga sessions will be available for pre and post skiing - we'll have a booking facility available so you can plan your preparation and recovery accordingly.
- Depart on Thursday January 11th 2024.
Booking information
If you've ever skied in Australia or New Zealand you would probably have experienced expensive lift passes and then the super long lines to get on the lift, limiting the number of runs you get in for the day. Japan is amazingly good value and very rarely has much wait for the lifts at all. With extremely high demand for accommodation due to being in the peak of the Japanese ski season and with limited properties available, this is an invitation-only event. However, please feel free to share amongst families and friends. Upon booking we can assist with advice regarding getting to Hakuba etc. Cost covers 5 nights accommodation, use of Phat House facilities including cars (International Driver's License required), 3 Yoga sessions, some meals and snacks. Secure your participation with 50% deposit with the balance payable by 1st December 2023.
